retro_player.mp3 — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
retro_player.mp3 has no accounts and never sees your music. To find bugs and learn which features people use, it sends a small amount of anonymous data to Google Firebase. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Share usage & crashes.
What is sent
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): where the app crashed, the device model, iOS version and app version. When a file can't be opened, only its type (for example ".mp3") is sent, never its name.
- Feature usage (Google Analytics for Firebase): events such as "a track started", "the display style changed" or "a list was created", with settings values like the automix length. Google derives an approximate location (country or city) from your IP address.
What is never sent
- Your audio files, track titles, artists, file names or list names.
- The advertising identifier (IDFA) or the vendor identifier (IDFV). The app has no ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.
On your device
- Audio files you import, your lists and your settings stay inside the app's own storage and are removed when you delete the app.
- Track information on the lock screen and in Control Center is handled by iOS.
Firebase processes this data on behalf of the developer under Google's Firebase privacy terms. Analytics data is kept for 2 months; crash reports for 90 days.
